LECTOR MINISTRY

Lectors proclaim the word of God each week. This is one ministry that does require special gifts: a strong and animated voice, clear speech, and the commitment to prepare the readings with great care. Lectors must be a confirmed Catholic, registered in the parish, and receive training for this ministry. The training takes about an hour and is scheduled throughout the year as needed.
